Zurich Repair Bonus
The City of Zürich pays up to CHF 100 towards repairs — 50% of the bill. Repairing now pays off twice: for your wallet and for the climate.

How to get the bonus
The whole process runs through the city's repair platform Flick-it.ch. In four steps:

Live in the City of Zurich
The bonus is open to everyone resident in the City of Zurich — up to CHF 100 per person, per year.

Find a repair business
Flick-it.ch lists every registered repair business. Find one that repairs your item.
- 03
Get it repaired
Place the repair order. Laptop, coffee machine or favourite jacket — what matters is that it gets fixed, not replaced.

Redeem the bonus
The bonus covers 50% of the cost, up to CHF 100 per year. Any leftover balance can be used for further repairs in the same year.

What qualifies?
Two categories are eligible at the start of the three-year pilot. The scope will grow over time.
Electrical appliances
From laptops and computers to smartphones and household appliances — electrical and electronic devices are covered.
Textiles
Clothes, shoes and other textiles: alterations and repairs instead of buying new.

Electronics and textiles are the start. Depending on demand, the city will add further product categories.
Repairs at evig
evig has repaired computers and IT equipment in the heart of Zürich since 2026. Those repairs fall squarely into one of the eligible categories.
Computers are electrical appliances
Laptop, desktop, monitor or peripheral — repairs by evig belong to the electrical-appliances category and are therefore eligible.

Why it matters
The repair bonus is part of the city's circular economy — and it replaces the former disposal coupons. The direction is clear: repair instead of throw away.
From discarding to repairing
The city used to subsidise disposal with coupons. The repair bonus flips the incentive: it rewards keeping things in use for longer.

That is how many subsidised repairs the city expects over the three-year pilot.

That is how much greenhouse gas the additional repairs are meant to save — CO₂ equivalents that would otherwise go into new production.
